Lunch Bunch Ministry Help Wanted
We are looking for ministers to take turns to help

- setup (Wednesday afternoon before the lunch)

The luncheons are scheduled the first Thursday of the months of September – May/June. Please find it in your hearts to minister to this wonderful group of our faith community. Be Formed: The Creed
This season will run from September 12-December 10 and be facilitated by Bob Heipp. It will include weekly videos on The Creed - Part 1: The Father using the Catechism of the Catholic Church. You are invited to follow along with us this season, utilizing our workbook download. Journal along each week reflecting on God's presence in your life. For questions, contact Bob on 331-266-4422.

Communion Service Only
The Diocese of Joliet Priest Convocation will take place in September. It is a formal gathering of priests to foster prayer, fraternity, spiritual renewal, and professional development. To support our priests we will have only Communion Service on: September 16 8:00am, September 17 12:00pm, and September 18 7:00am.

Knights of Columbus Intellectual Disabilities “Tootsie Roll” Drive is September 19-21. The Knights will be soliciting for donations on the street corners in Warrenville and at weekend Masses at St. Irene. Also a GoFund.Me page has been setup for donations September through October.

Hustle Up the Hill for the Homeless
September 20, 2025 at Mt. Hoy, Blackwell Forest Preserve, Warrenville. Heats 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM or participate virtually - complete the race anytime between September 20th – 27th Challenge yourself to run/walk up Mt. Hoy as many times as you can in the 30 minute heat. All proceeds from the event will go to house a family experiencing homelessness for 2 years as they transition to self-sufficiency in partnership with the Bridge Communities program.
Cost is $30 per person or $25 per person with a team of four or more. Race Day Registration - $35

Lay Carmelites
Who are the Lay Carmelites? Would you like to strengthen your friendship with Jesus? Deepen your relationship with Mary? Perhaps you are being called to be a Lay Carmelite. First Friday Holy Hour
On the evening before his Passion and Death, Jesus asked his sleepy apostles to pray quietly with him in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?” On October 3 at 7:00pm, we will celebrate our First Friday Holy Hour with Exposition of the Holy Eucharist and Benediction. For those who would like to extend the Hour, the parish rosary group will pray the rosary at 6:30 PM.

Musical Pilgrimage
St. Irene Musical Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Christ's Passion is Saturday, October 4, 8:00am depart St. Irene and 2:30pm return to St. Irene. Walk the tranquil grounds that feature forty life-size bronze sculptures of Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. Musical meditations led by St. Irene musicians. Enjoy a group luncheon in a private dining hall onsite featuring songs inspired by prayers of St. Francis of Assisi. Transportation not provided but car pooling can be arranged when registering.

Mother-Daughter and Friends Tea
On Sunday, October 5th at the 10:00 a.m. Mass, Fr. Greg will bless a statue of St. Therese donated by the St. Irene Little Flowers Girls Club. The statue will be placed in the Chapel. After Mass, the Little Flowers will host a Mother-Daughter Tea in the ACL; all ladies are welcome. A light lunch will be served, and a basket raffle will be held. Tickets for the Tea are $20 per adult and $5 for girls 16 and under. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Cathy Berning at 630-939-6111 or Roxanne Morello at 630-341-6682. If you are interested in donating a basket for the raffle, contact Cathy or Roxanne.

On Sunday, October 5 at 12:00pm there will be a blessing of the pets/animals. Please join us outside at the St. Francis Statue on the side of the church with your furry friends!

Little Flowers Girls Club
The Little Flowers Girls’ Club is a program whose goal is to provide young Catholic Girls, ages five and up, with an opportunity to gather and learn about their Catholic heritage, faith, and tradition. Next meeting is October 6 at 6:00pm in the Mobiles.

Our Lady of Fatima Rosary Rally
2025 marks the 9th year St. Irene and St. Thomas are coming together to pray in the Fatima Public Rosary Prayer Rally, Saturday, Oct. 11th at 12pm. As we pray the Glorious Mysteries, we will join with over 20,000 other Prayer Chains created across the country to honor the 109th Anniversary of Our Lady’s Appearances. All past participants will agree this 45-minute Prayer Event is a most blessed experience. There are 11 Prayer Stations to choose from, set up along a route connecting both parishes. We’ll continue to pray the Rosario en español at Station #7 for anyone interested. Please join us in responding to the pleas of Our Lord and Blessed Mother, as we pray for World Peace, Reparation of sins, and Conversion of sinners.
