Prayer Life Ministries

Personal and communal prayer is a hallmark of the Catholic faith. We pray to strengthen our relationship with God and to grow in faith and love. St. Irene offers many opportunities to experience God's love and healing grace through prayer and faith communities.

  • Adult Faith Formation Opportunities

    Small groups that meet periodically to explore biblical teaching and our Catholic faith.

  • CAPture the Spirit/Prayer Shawl Ministries

    Knitters and crocheters share their talents to create works of comfort for those who are ill.

  • Eucharistic Adoration

    "Can you not watch with me for one hour?" Mt 26:40. Take up the call on Thursdays for a scheduled hour between 7 a.m. (after Mass) until noon.

  • Prayer Chain

    The Crisis Prayer Chain Ministry is a new approach to sharing prayer requests using today's technology. All prayer requests sent to Deacon Joe Urso will immediately be emailed to those signed up for this ministry. Participants pray in their own environment and in their own way, and agree to pray for the request for two weeks from the time it was received.

  • Rosary Group

    The St. Irene Rosary Group meets the third Thursday of each month, beginning at 7 pm in the Church to pray the rosary.
