Mark 4:1-20

Parables are similes or metaphors that draw themes from nature or the common life of the people. They invite the listeners to doubt and question their ways and ultimately call them to God’s way. The Parable of the Sower speaks to the faith and belief of an individual and of a community. It is the heart of Jesus’ mission.

I am often overwhelmed by anxiety, a desire for material security, and a longing for things not of you. I pray to be at peace and singularly focused on you.
