Service and Social Ministries


Our Service and Social Ministries, under the leadership of the Service Commission, build community and serve Christ in one another.  These ministries live and support the Beatitutes to minister to the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our parish and the community at large.

American Heritage Girls - Elaine Perez 
A Christ centered character development program for girls ages 5-18, whose mission is “building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country.”

Bridge Committee - Tim Delaney
A grassroots charitable organization serving homeless families in DuPage County. Its mission is to transition homeless families to self-sufficiency by working with partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. As a partner, the St. Irene's Bridge Committee is seeking volunteers to help serve our homeless family. Council of Catholic Women (CCW)
Support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service.

Food Pantry - Cathy Kott
Provide food for the hungry by distributing all donations collected by the community. St. Irene's Food Pantry is generously stocked by the churches, businesses and organizations of Warrenville and is available to local residents.  Call 630-393-2400 ext 112 on Mondays and pick-up at the Parish Center on Wednesdays between 9 am and 12 noon.

Hospitality - Diane Lichtenberg and Dolores Collins 
Provides support, encouragement, opportunities for greater involvement, connectedness and service to each other.  Hospitality is hosted after mass the second Sunday of each month and includes celebration of birthdays and anniversaries for the month.

Knights of Columbus -Tom Perez, Grand Knight
Provides members with the opportunity to discover the importance of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism to our country, world and Church.  Website

Ladies of Columbus, Auxiliary #6710 - Patricia Kemp 

Our Mission ~ To use our time, talents, and energy to support charitable, church, and community events. In addition, to promote friendship among our families and communities in cooperation with the Knights of Columbus, Council 6710. We invite and welcome all Catholic Christian women to join. LunchBunch Ministry - Anna Saake 
Through our Christian beliefs and ideals, encourages, nurtures, comforts, community service works through monthly gatherings - open to our Faith Community.

Bring communion and a continuous connection with the Faith family of St. Irene's to those who are homebound or in a nursing facility.

Parents Active in Catholic Education (PACE) - Janet Guida
To create a spiritually rich, emotionally healthy and academically excellent learning environment for the children, and support St. Irene School through fundraising efforts.
